Results of HNU Survey at the Minnesota Solvents <br />& Chemicals Corporation, 2340 Rose Place <br />Roseville, Minnesota <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />STS Consultants, Ltd. was contracted by Minnesota Solvents & Chemicals Corporation to <br />perform an HNU survey at 2340 Rose Place, Roseville, Minnesota. The survey consi,t.t d <br />of scanning soil samples obtained from the upper 6 inches of soils within the <br />Minnesota Solvents & Chemicals Corporation property boundary with an. HNU meter. <br />Figure 1 enclosed with this report illustrates the location of the sampling points. <br />The soil samples were obtained at twenty sampling points. Sample #l, #3, #5, #7 and <br /># 12 were collected in the soils beneath the recently placed base coarse gravel. The <br />remaining samples were collected from within the upper six inches of the ground <br />surface. The soil samples were collected by shoveling a sample into a clean glass <br />jar. The head space of the soil sample in the glass jar was scanned with an HNU <br />photoionization meter equipped with a 10.2 eV lamp calibrated to a benzene referral. <br />HNU meter deflections in parts per million (ppm) were recorded in the field for each <br />sample. <br />
