REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />i <br />DepartMent,Approval: Manager Reviewed: <br />Agenda Section: <br />Report and Recommendation <br />Item Description: James Ashley request for minor variance at <br />1738 Chatsworth Street. <br />The Minor Variance Committee convened March 30, 1989 and unanimously <br />recommended approval of Mr. Ashley's request for a minor variance at <br />1738 Chatsworth Street. Mr. Ashley is requesting a 3 foot variance <br />to allow him to leave his existing driveway at its existing <br />location. Chatsworth Street is scheduled for reconstruction this <br />year and the driveway entrance would have to be relocated 3 feet <br />south if this variance is not granted. The proposed driveway would <br />be set back 2 feet instead of the required 5 feet from the side <br />property line. Mr.. Ashley shares a driveway entrance with the <br />adjacent property at 1744 Chatsworth Street. <br />All impacted neighbors supported the project. <br />Requirement: 5 feet <br />Proposed: 2 feet <br />Variance: 3 feet <br />% Variance: 60% <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: Motion to approve/deny James Ashley's <br />request for minor variance at 1738 <br />Chatsworth Street. <br />
