To whom it may concern: <br />The variance is necessary because, the driveway at 671 W. Eldridge Ave. <br />is to close to the neighbors property. <br />The hardships are: <br />(1) The current asphalt is only 31 year, old. In moving the driveway it <br />would cause an additional expense over and. above the cost of the street <br />and possibly new sewer lines. <br />(2) My wife Gloria has a back injury which limits her ability to drive a <br />car backwards.To piit more of a curve in -the driveway would cause more of <br />a problem. Also if the width of the driveway is cut down at the side of <br />the house it would cause a problem for my wife to back into or out of the <br />driveway and gara.-e. <br />(3) 1 believe the change in the drive ray would effect the looks of the <br />property. Also 1 am 60 years old and am concerned about the resale value <br />of the house if I ever had to sell. 1 have worked very hard for 30 years <br />to I:eep my property looking; the best I can. <br />Hoping you can find someway to leave the driveway as it is. <br />Thank you for your consideration in this matter. <br />Oincerpl.v <br />P.S. 1 know this is not a hardship,but. the driveway na:; alwayi3 been <br />were it is now. <br />
