Important Facts About <br />Minneapolis Business College <br />HISTORY Founded in 1874, Minneapolis Business College is the oldest accredited business <br />school in Minnesota. In 1981, MBC became a proud member of Bradford Schools, Inc., which owns <br />and operates twelve other business schools throughout the United States. MBC moved to its current <br />site, a modern office facility in Roseville, Minnesota, in 1983. AICS is one of only six national accrediting bodies recognized by the <br />U.S. Department of Education. It is also a member of the Council on Postsecondary Accreditation <br />(COPA). North Central, the regional accrediting body for degree - <br />granting schools, is also a member of COPA. Minneapolis <br />Business College is licensed and reviewed by the states of <br />Minnesota and Wisconsin. <br />STUDENT ACCEPTANCE To be accepted to MBC, students <br />must meet the following criteria: <br />1. Graduate from high school or have a GED (GED scores must <br />meet the standards of the State of Minnesota, regardless of <br />where the GED was taken). <br />2. Maintain a 'C' average or higher in basic and related courses <br />as well as maintain a good attendance record. (Students <br />applying to the 12-month cooperative or internship programs <br />must maintain a 'B' average or higher.) <br />3.
