PROPOSED ORDINANCE REQUIREMENTS <br />Allows offstreet parking, loading, and vehicle display as <br />permitted in the various zoning districts. <br />Allows temporary displays up to 8 days in B-21 B-31 B-4, and <br />SC districts. <br />Allows other displays and storage by special use permit in <br />the B-2 and B-311 B-4, and SC districts if the following <br />criteria is met: <br />The outside sales area shall not exceed 10 percent of <br />the gross sales area within the structure. <br />Merchandise shall be located immediately contiguous to <br />the structure only. <br />Merchandise shall not be within any re <br />yard, or extend more than six (6)feetulred into sideintorequired front yard. <br />Merchandise shall not occupy any designated parking <br />area. <br />Merchandise shall be displayed during normal business <br />hours only and shall be stored inside the principal <br />structure during non -business hours. <br />- The maximum height of merchandise shall not exceed six <br />(6) feet. <br />Merchandise stored or displayed shall be limited to <br />items of such bulk, mass, and weight so as to <br />constitute a convenience to the customer to be <br />displayed on the outside of a structure. Such items <br />include, but are not limited to: rock salt, charcoal, <br />firewood, non-alcoholic liquids for human consumption, <br />motor vehicle fluids, and heavy equipment such as lawn <br />mowers, snowblowers, etc. <br />- A minimum of six feet of sidewalk clearance must be <br />maintained at the front of a store facility where that <br />walk connects to the front access to other retail <br />stores. <br />No obstruction of walkways adjacent to driving aisles <br />is allowed. Safe ingress and egress must be maintained. <br />
