Building #2 was found to be structurally substandard for the <br />following reasons: <br />1. Inadequate number and arrangement of exits. <br />2. Lack of required fire separations between tenants. <br />3. Improper interior finish. <br />4. Improper storage and handling of hazardous materials. <br />5. Structural defects due to corrosive and humid environment: <br />6. Extensive electrical hazards. <br />7. Inadequate support of water lines. <br />8. Wall framing of interior walls not to code (studs are -1' oc) <br />9. Ceiling joists are not to code (211x4" span approx. 121) <br />10. Storage above 211x4" ceiling joists causing failure. <br />11. Sleeping quarters in body shop area. <br />12. 12" difference on opposite side of door - landing <br />violation. <br />13. Exterior parking of body shop cars, <br />14. Exterior storage of pallets, broken block and junk. <br />15. Inadequate framing of exit door. <br />16. Window between body shop and office - ;" wired and <br />oversized. <br />17. Ceiling & walls of room below office - 1 hour rated. <br />18. Mechanical air exchange below code. <br />19. Stairway to upper office shall be 36" wide (not to code). <br />20. Stairway to upper office shall be 616" (5111" existing) <br />high. <br />21. Guardrails needed on second floor overlooking wash area. <br />22. All pip <br />es es in both boiler rooms i.-�ed to be supported. <br />23. Back flow preventor for all tank areas. <br />24. Replace all of stairway leading from boilers to wash area. <br />25. Remove and re-route flue that passes over stair to 616" <br />clearance. <br />26. Repair all leaking fittings in boiler room. <br />27: dent furnace to outside lot to wash area. <br />28. Separation of block on upper portion of wash area. <br />
