RESOLUTION <br />WHEREAS, the City of Roseville has traditionally used tax. <br />increment financing for meritorious projects that fall within the <br />City's policy guidelines and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has recently been asked to utilize tax <br />increment _.inancing of projects where the City has not been <br />involved in discussions relating to the original price of`the <br />land, and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has been asked to make the projects "workable". <br />by making up the difference between the original land costs` <br />versus fair market value for the project, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that if the City of Roseville is <br />being asked to participate with tax increment financing,. <br />particularly for those projects involving other public entities, <br />the City shall be involved in the early discussions relating to' <br />the negotiated land price, and, <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that failure to involve the City in the <br />early discussion stages, could jeopardize the use of tax <br />increment financing for said project. <br />Resolution No. <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA) <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY } §§ <br />I, the undersigned, being the duly qualified City Manager of the <br />City of Roseville, County of Ramsey, State of Minnesota, do <br />hereby certify that I have carefully compared the attached and <br />foregoing extract of minutes of a regular meeting of said City <br />Council held on the 14th of March 1988, with the original <br />thereof on file in my office. <br />WITNESS MY RAND officially <br />March 1988. <br />SEAL <br />as such Manager this 14th day of <br />James F.
