r'
f
3.) Cont.
A driveway entrance built in this proposed location would
have the effect of pulling the outside edge of the corner_
away from the center of the street, thus directing vehicles
towards my house.
4.) Present snow removal practice is to plow the Ruggles snow
into the yard where the proposed driveway is to be located:`
I'm sure they can find another place to push the snow, but:'
it sure works smooth the way they do it now.
5.) Vehicles backing out of a driveway at this proposed location
would be backing adverse to the direction of traffic and
would be traveling immediatly adjacent to my boulevard (if
no cars are parked in front of my house). Turning to drive
away, without encroaching onto the boulevard, would be
difficult at best.
{f
6.) _Placing the entrance to the driveway at this proposed
location would require moving the inplace light pole.
The pole was placed in this specific location as the result
of a petition some years back. The people who made up
the petition should also be consulted about the desirability
of this move.
Mr. Moore has been an excellent neighbor and I don't want to prevent
him from developing his property in the manner that is to his best
"advantage.
I do belive, however, that the proposed location of the driveway
entrance could cause people visiting me unnecessary inconvenience
and possibly serious problems.
I would have no objection to a driveway entrance onto Oxford that
would have its southern side on line with the northern edge of
Ruggles street. This would eliminate the problem of vehicles
traveling west on Ruggles inadvertently continuing into his
driveway; would enable the outside corner of the street to be moved
in during construction; and would eliminate vehicle conflicts for
vehicles parking at my house.
My family and I moved to Roseville fourteen years ago from
St.Paul to get away from areas where everything seems to be built
on top of each other.. I believe by building the driveway entrance
in the proposed location it would make the neighborhood look like we
are trying to stuff 20 lbs. of potatoes in a 5 lb. bag.
Thank you for consideration of my comments.
Sincerly,
David H.
