Dr. Rosemary Schneiderhan, Assistant Superintendent for <br />Curriculum and Instruction, will introduce Roseville Area High <br />School students who have been involved in mentorship programs <br />during the 1987-1988 school year and furnish information about <br />the types of projects in which these students have been involved. <br />C. School Board Policy KGA: Use of Buildings and Grounds. FIRST <br />READING. Commentary by Mr. James Klassen. <br />Enclosed is a copy of a proposed revision of School Board Policy <br />KGA: Use of School Buildings and Grounds. <br />Mr. James Klassen, Director or Community Education, will provide <br />an overview of the specific changes in and rationale for <br />modifying School Board Policy KGA. <br />This item will appear on the June 7 School Board meeting agenda <br />for a SECOND READING with a request for action. <br />VII. A. Floating Holidays: Teachers and Twelve Month Employees. <br />Prepared by Mr. E. Keith Smelser. <br />I recommend that floating holidays for teachers, clerical, <br />administrative and custodial groups be approved as specified in <br />the enclosed May 10 and 17, 1988 memoranda, prepared by Mr. E. <br />Keith Smelser, Assistant to the Superintendent for Personnel. <br />B. Placement of Teaching Staff Members on Unrequested Leave of <br />Absence. Prepared by Mr. E. Keith Smelser. <br />In accordance with Minnesota Statute 125.12 and for those reasons <br />specified in the resolutions adopted by the School Board when <br />teaching staff members were placed on proposed unrequested leave <br />of absence, I recommend the School Board adopt the enclosed <br />resolution placing the specified staff members, cited in School <br />Board agenda documentation, on unrequested leave of absence for <br />the 1988-1989 school year. <br />i. <br />C. Sale of Lexington Elementary School: Temporary Suspension of <br />Purchase Pa menus. Commentary by Mt•. Paul Borg. <br />Mr. Gerald Kaufhold, owner and proprietor of Rose Galleries, has <br />requested that the schedule of payments for the purchase of <br />Lexington Elementary School be temporarily suspended until the <br />October 3, 1988 sale closing. At that time, Mr. Kaufhold will be <br />obligated to make full payment o-,= the outstanding balance as <br />specified in the agreement for the purchase of Lexington <br />Elementary School. <br />Mr. Kaufhold has requested the temporary suspension of purchase <br />payments in order to underwrite the preparation of architectural <br />renderings which will result in the City of Roseville Council <br />approval of plans for future development of the Lexington <br />Elementary School property. <br />2 <br />
