0 <br />• <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Depart nt Appr val: <br />Item Descript on: <br />Manager Ir <br />ed: <br />Amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to add mini - <br />storage as a use by special use permit in the <br />I-1 and I-2 zoning districts. <br />The Planning Commission at its May 4, 1988 meeting unanimously <br />recommended approval of the attached ordinance amendment to add <br />mini -storage as a use by special use permit in the I-1 and I-2 <br />zoning districts with the addition of the following to the <br />definition of mini -storage in section 5.497. <br />"Access to all storage units shall be oriented into interior <br />courtyards fully enclosed by buildings or walls except for ingress <br />and egress openings. Exterior finish shall be face brick or <br />equal." <br />
