5 July 1988
-yy
Dear members of the planning commission,
Although my wife ai.d I will be out of town for
the planning commission meeting
on July 6th, we are still very much interested
in any planning for the
—.Lexington
School site.
It would be very unwise to plat the southern half
of this site until it is
known what the rest of the site will be used for
in the long term. It should
E
be obvious to everyone that the northern part
of the property will only be used
as a school fora few years at most. This is
a very short time in city
planning
To plat a small part of the land without knowing
what the larger portion will
be used for is unwise for the city and unwise
for the citizens.
The proposed plan has other problems, but the
major one is the lack of long-
term planning for the site as a whole.
Sincerely,
Thomas N.
