Written statement by the applicant which provides the details of the application. <br />The statement -.-vill be given to the Planning Commission and City Council along <br />with the City Planner's report. <br />Gerald H. Kaufhold is a resident of Roseville, Minnesota at 2096 Fairways Lane. <br />He has conducted a business at 1123 West County Road B for ten years under the name <br />and style of Rose Galleries for the consignment and sale of estate and antique <br />merchandise. <br />In order to enhance and facilitate his business, when the Lexington School site <br />came on the market for sale in 1986, he became interested in it for a site for a possible <br />new auction house and the space necessary to obtain needed parking for his operation. <br />Currently, many of his customers use the school parking lot as available during his <br />auctions. <br />After discussions and review with Buetow & Associates, Inc., and Mr. Tom Dunwell, <br />of that firm, along with the Planning and Economic Development Consultants for the <br />City of Roseville, this Application and Preliminary Plat have been filed to divide the <br />property into 12 lots. Lot 1 would remain a public school use with 916 continuing to <br />ix <br />lease the existing school building. Lots 2 through 11 would be single family lots and lot <br />12 would be the land dedication required by ordinance which is in excess of 10%. This <br />land could be used for a hockey rink area and Mr. Kaufhold would donate $15,000 to <br />help defray the cost to move the rink, lights and warming house from the present <br />location on the site. <br />
