PLANNING REPORT <br />DATE: <br />CASE NUMBER: <br />APPLICANT: <br />G July 1988 <br />1827 <br />Budget Rent-A-Car <br />LOCATION: West of Walnut Street, <br />North of Burlington <br />Northern Railroad Tracks <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Special Use Permit for <br />Car and Truck Rental <br />PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS: <br />1. This proposal involved a temporary rise of slightly more <br />than an acre of land on Walnut Street by the Budget <br />Rent-A-Car people as a truck rental facility, pending the <br />redevelopment of the Jim Trapp property at the northwest <br />corner of County Road C-2 and Partridge Road by Mark <br />Murlowsky of Belair Builders. The application: was tabled <br />for a period of 90 days to give Mr. Murlowsky time to <br />prepare a specific proposal for the redevelopment of the <br />Trapp property, a portion of which would have been for the <br />permanent location of the Budget truck rental facility. <br />Since that time Mr. Murlowsky has communicated in writing <br />to Rick Jopke, Planning and Zoning Administrator, that <br />r <br />they have not :een able to come up with a development plan <br />and that the Budget rental facility will be located <br />elsewhere. Thus the application is requested to be <br />' <br />withdrawn. <br />2. A copy of the letter will be available at the Planning <br />Commission and Council meetings. <br />
