This revised analysis
was based on the initial comments from the City of Roseville and
Rice Creek Watershed Distri _. Because of the project size (less
than one acre) Rice Creek waived its rate control restrictions,
however, Roseville has asked that provisions for restricting the
flow to the greatest extent possible be made. To accomplish
this, the castings were changed as follows:
North inlet - 0.7 sf opening - Neenah,R-3286-81 `--
South inlet - 0.6 sf opening - Neenah R-2576B
(Note: Casting Type suggested only; sf opening is
requirement)
With castings such as these, discharge can be controlled from 7
cfs (uncontrolled) to 4 cfs for a 100 year rainfall event and a
fully developed site (the undeveloped rate of discharge ..is
estimated -to be around 2 cfs).
The Rice Creek Watershed District has raised a question
regarding water quality features on the site. The area is
drained by an extensive storm sewer that also serves STH 36 and
the Rosedale Shopping Center. Because the project area is so.
small and it contributes direct runoff, into a large conveyance
system rather than a pond or wetland, it is felt that any
treatment efforts would have a negligible effect on water
quality. Therefore no special treatment provisions have been
made.
SHORT El' XF
HENDRIC:KSON INC.
