Holm <br />January 9, 1990 <br />Rick Jopke, Assistant Community Development Director <br />Department of Community Development <br />2660 Civic Center Drive <br />Roseville, MN 55113 <br />Dear Rick, <br />Thank you for sending the Roseville sign ordinance pertaining to <br />the transfer of real property„ I also talked to John Harris, a <br />Realtor® member of our Association, and a volunteer on a citizens <br />signage committee for Roseville. <br />A question that I am asking the committee and staff to reconsider <br />is the requirement for the real estate for -sale sign to be set <br />back 15 feet from the property line. I am suggesting that you <br />use 6 feet from the public right of way for the set back as a way <br />of establishing uniformity and to provide a service to consumers <br />(making the sign easily visible). This is a standard we are <br />proposing in another community in our area and everyone seems to <br />agree it will work well.
