The purpose of the fence as indicated in the attached statement is to <br />provide a private, outdoor activity area for three occupants of the <br />residence who are afflicted with a neurological disorder known as <br />Autism. Me,,abers of the Planning Commission and Council may wish to <br />question the applicant further regarding the symptoms and the nature of <br />this malady, although, that is not the question in this proposal. <br />7. <br />The applicants have submitted a site plan indicating the location of the <br />fence. That portion which is higher than 4 feet in the side yard runs <br />a distance of 51 feet from the southeast corner of the site, and that is <br />the westerly 30 feet to the southeast corner of the garage. One of <br />the reasons, of course, for the reduced height in the yards. contiguous <br />to the public right-of-way is for the preservation of site visibility across <br />the corner. Obviously, in this case, the higher fence is 72 feet from <br />the northeast corner of the site.
