The Site Plan which was approved by the City of
Roseville in 1986 showed the driveway entering from the south lots and
transversing the hillside to the north and then curing to the west
Lot 1 and Lot 2,' While this entry is buildable, it also would be
very destructive to the natural hillside, and we feel it ultimately
Jeopardizes the large Oak trees which would be very close to
the proposed road.
We have had an alternate roadway drawn and surveyed that would move
the entrance to the project to the north still maintaining the same
grade as the original driveway aad also still bringing the road up
between the same two units as the original driveway. The newly
proposed driveway would eliminate all risk to the Oak trees and the
hillside that were caused by the original driveway,
On Wednesday, May 27th, I brought this proposal for Charlie Honchell,
yourself, the City Planner and Howard Dahlgren. It was determined at
that meeting that this new proposed entrance was, in fact, superior
in design to the original drive entrance. I was told that if I could
get the signatures of the neighbor immediately to the north, Herb
KI.inebiel and also the signature of Roger Hesse on a statement showing
their approval of the change, that the City would have no objection to
our making that change in the driveway, I am enclosing with this
letter, copies of both the new Site Plan and also letters of acceptance
of that plan from the neighbors mentioned above.
If you should have any questions concerning this matter, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Very truly yours,
CON/SPEC ORP TION
John Low
Project Manager
JL;.jk
