FOOD - N - FUEL, INC. .
8500 LEXINGTON AVENUE NORTH
CIRCLE PINES, MINNESOTA 55014
EDWARD J. BIRD
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT (612)
a 786.5151
GENERAL MANAGER
Toi Whom It May Concern
From: Edward J. Bird
Subj: FOOD-N-FUEL, INC.
Date: January 12, 1987
HISTORY OF FOOD-N-FUEL, INC.:
Food-N-Fuel, Inc. was started in 1978 by six individuals who wished to combine
gasoline and convenience grocery store sales together. A typical Food-t' Fuel Store
averages 2,400 square feet with parking for 5 - 12 cars. Hours of operL,:;,,n are generally
on a 24-hour basis, 7 days a week. We pride ourselves in being able to meet the needs
of our customers 365 days a year, including holidays.
Since our beginning in 1978, we have grown to just over 80 stores. We take great pains
in operating clean, well stocked stores with well trained employees. Since we offer a
full line of merchandise, including produce, fast foods, frozen foods, lunch meats and
groceries, we feel that we will be a real benefit to the neighborhood. We look
optimistically to the future of our Company, and, specifically to becoming a good
neighbor in your community.
SITE PLAN:
Currently, the site in question is an abandoned gasoline station. As you can see from
our site plan, we would remove the old structure and all gasoline pumping equipment,
as well as the gasoline storage tanks. Our plan calls for the construction of approximately
a 1,800 square foot building, with three gasoline dispensers under a canopy, and the burying
of two 10,000 gallon fiberglass gasoline storage tanks. We feel that the site as indicated
by our site plan, would greatly enhance the area from both a practical stand point, as well
as an aesthetic viewpoint.
S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 S2 Sl S2 S2 52
We hope that you will consider our application and approve it so that we may begin
construction as soon as the frost is out of the ground this Spring.
Thank you very much for your consideration.
Sincerely, ,
Vv4
Edward J.
