0 <br />CHRONOLOGY <br />1. In 1959 (May 21), area zoned as I-1. Special Use was <br />required for outside storage of coal and gas, junk and <br />salvage, refrigeration plant, scrap metal, paper and rags. <br />This was never granted. <br />2. Building permit depicts that building wasn't occupied until <br />September of 1959. <br />3. Mr. Dahlgren walked the site for a park plan in 1960. No <br />junk was on the site. <br />4. A 1962 aerial depicts grass --no junk. <br />REZONING <br />5. January_ 4, 1971 <br />Rezoning request made to change from I-1 to I-2 to allow <br />truck rental. <br />6. March 8 <br />Referred by Council to March 19 Planning Commission. <br />(Manager's letter references required "general cleanup in <br />area".) <br />7. March 25 <br />Inspection reveals an attempt was made to clean up --yet old, <br />wrecked truck bodies, auto body, and old fenders were not <br />cleaned up. (No mention of bumpers.) <br />8. March 29 <br />Tabled. <br />9. April 21 <br />Inspection reveals that site is "cleaned up in a satisfactory <br />manner." <br />10. April 26 <br />Rezoning approved (no Special Use). <br />11. August 1971 <br />Aerial depicts trucks on site. No junk or bumpers. <br />12. When Keystone started in -977, a Special Use was not <br />granted. <br />
