• Received Stormwater Update <br />• Discussed Community Survey <br />January 29 <br />• Accepted Public Improvements Related to the Rose Place Townhomes Public <br />Improvement Contract <br />• Approved City Support of Rice Creek Watershed District State Bonding Request for <br />Jones Lake Project <br />February 12 <br />• Discussed Street Lighting Policy <br />• Discussed City Council and Advisory Commission Rules of Procedure <br />• Discussed City Commissions Scope, Duties, and Functions <br />• Approved Contract for South McCarron Retaining Wall Project 22-22 <br />Engineering Updates: <br />o Interviewing candidates for Engineering, Environmental and Sustainability internships. <br />o We have received a letter of intent to confirm receipt of our application and approval to <br />participate in Metropolitan Council's 2024 State Bond Funded Municipal Inflow and <br />Infiltration (I/I) Grant Program. It is an estimated reimbursement amount of $212,500 which <br />we use to perform sanitary sewer improvements that mitigate ground/stormwater from <br />entering the sewer system. <br />o As we verbally shared last month, Roseville was awarded an Active Transportation Planning <br />Grant from MnDOT for creation of a Bike Plan. More details on next steps will be provided <br />to PWET in the near future. <br />o The City will remove three City -owned bus shelters on Larpenteur at Hamline, Lexington, and <br />Femwood in late March/early April. At Fernwood, Metro Transit will install and maintain a <br />Metro Transit shelter. At the other locations, we will install a bench and maintain trash cans. <br />Sustainability Updates: <br />o Sustainability Specialist Noelle Bakken presented at the January Roseville Business Council <br />meeting about sustainability resources for local businesses, including solid waste and <br />recycling grants and opportunities in the Inflation Reduction Act. <br />o Public Works and Community Development staff selected three winners out of ten applicants <br />for the 2023 Sustainable Steward annual recognition award and presented the winners to EDA <br />on January 22. <br />Staff provided City Council with an update on January 22 on regional "Green To Go" takeout <br />container ordinances and presented an engagement plan for approval. Council approved <br />Green To Go engagement plan. <br />Staff continues to work with Roseville Fire to identify funding opportunities for the recently <br />approved purchase of an electric fire truck. <br />Staff continues to connect with Roseville residents regarding the City's climate action work, <br />including advocacy group Resilient Roseville. <br />Maintenance Updates: <br />o Street and Storm <br />• Plowed 7 inches of snow for the Valentine's Day snow event on 2/14.
