AET #95-2169 - Page 2
Based on the results of our observations, hand auger borings, hand cone penetrometer probes, and
our review of the available information, it is our judgment the soils exposed in the excavation
bottom were suitable for support of the anticipated fill and structural loadings.
The results of the final soil compaction tests taken during filling operations indicate that the
minimum recommended compaction levels were rrat or exceeded at the elevations and locations
tested. The fill in the areas of Testa #3 and #5 was removed and replaced with a different fill
type. Tests taken in the new fill met or exceeded recommended compaction levels.
These conclusions provide only a brief summary. Read the remainder of the report for additional
details.
We understand or assume that the building under construction:
Will be two stories in height.
Will use slab -on -grade design with the floor level at about elevation 917.0.
* Will be supported by spread footings designed for a maximum allowable soil bearing
Pressure no greater than 3,000 pounds per square foot (psf),
• Will be of nmsonry block design and construction.
• Will have normal tolerance to settlement.
e Will be coastmeted in accordance with tlae applicable building code requirements.
