AET #95-2169 - Page 4
No standing water was present in the bottom of the excavation.
During the period from August 8 to 18, 1995, we conducted twelve (12) density tests in fill placed
to attain proposed footing and floor grade. The density tests were conducted on an intermittent
trip basis. The field density tests were evaluated against the laboratory Standard Proctor
maximum dry density (ASTM: D698) to arrive at a percent compaction level for each test. The
results of the tests, which are attached, indicate the recommended compaction level was finally
achieved at the locations and elevations tested. The fill in the areas of Tests #3 and #5 was
removed and replaced with a different fill type. Tests taken in the new fill met or exceeded
recommended compaction levels.
The following sheets are attached and constitute an integral part of this report:
Report of Density Tests
Earthwork Quality Control Information
Freezing Weather Effects on Building Construction
To protect the client, the public and American Engineering Testing, Inc., this report (and all
supporting information) is provided for the addressee's own use. No representations are made
to parties other than the addressee.
