Paul es
Place, the Northwestern College residence hal I s and the
proposed L If e and Heal th FI tness Center, w I I I ut I I iz a the
sanitary sewer faci I ities at different times. Since the
residents of the College are also going to be uti I lz ing
the Life and Health Fitness Center, peak flows from the
campus will not be concurrent.
See Appendix for more detailed calculations. The lift station
appears to be able to handle even total peak f lows and shoul d
easily handle average daily flows.
B.
A new 8-inch watermai n Is proposed to be extended to the Life
and Health Fitness Center at the same time as the proposed
sanitary sewer, as shown on Exhibit G. Hydrants are proposed to
be spaced at a 500 foot maximum radius around the Fitness
Center. Yard hydrants will be no closer than 50 feet fran the
building.
The existing 6-Inch watermai n serving the residence hal I s is
proposed to serve the future residence hal I to the east of the
exi sting residence hat Is. The current pressure and size of the
existing watermain are such that all recommended pressures for
future spr i nkl ing and f ire protection of the proposed residence
hall may require reinforcement. To provide additional capacity,
the proposed 8- i nch I i ne w i I I be extended to the east si de of
the Life and Health Fitness Center to al low for possible
extension to the new residence hall, should faci I ities require
It.
r
1
1
it
1 -16- 8621
