The procedures to be followed in preparing an EAW are specified in the rules governing the£nviron�ednEal(peaQ��wl4Program, ofspecifically rulesa. sections 6 MCAR 3.027 C., D., a Key points in the procedure include: 1. Section 3.027 C.2. provider 25 working days to complete the EAW from the date of your decision on the petition, unless the proposer agrees to more ti=a. The proposer has a responsibility to provide adequate information about the project in a timely manner so that this requirement can be met. 2. Copies of the completed EAW must be mailed to all review agencies at the same time as to EQB. These agencies' addresses are giv-wn o;, the EQS "EAW Distribution List". 3. A press release contaii:ing the EAW and comment period must be provided to at least one newspaper of general circulation in the area. This must be done within five days of mailing the EAW copies. section 3.027 D.2. gives the required contents of the press release. When preparing the press release 81&c:t M (toll -free) to find out the dates of the comment period (since they depend on when the notice of the EAW is published in the = Honit, S)• Note that a paid legal notice is only required if requested and paid for by the proposer.
