6 <br />DESCRIPTION OF VARIANCE REQUEST <br />The enclosed request and diagrams describe a proposed addition to my <br />house at 3100 Arthur Street in Roseville. This addition requires a variance <br />to the setback requirement along the back lot line. The addition would come <br />within twenty two feet of the back lot line, and the setback standard is <br />thirty feet. <br />I serve as a volunteer youth leader at my church (North Heights Lutheran <br />in Roseville), and frequently various <br />my house. My house and the activities ytherein outh oiistoften he uconsideredrch will oan over to <br />native to other activities in which alter- <br />native at my house provide an opportunity to promote the principles in <br />After several discussions with youth, parents, neighbors, and church <br />leaders, I have concluded that the addition of a pool to my house would si - <br />nificantly enhance my ministry with the youth --not only from my church bug <br />also their friends and acquaintances. t <br />The size of the pool and the enclosure seem to be the necessary size <br />to support the gatherings envisioned. To eliminate the unnecessary cuttin <br />of healthy trees, I propose that the addition be built lengthwise from my <br />g <br />patio door. With such a size and location, the building will come within <br />twenty two feet of the back lot line. <br />I have discussed this proposal with my neighbors, and they support the <br />proposed size and location of the addition.
