February 7, 1990
Rick Jopke
Planning and Zoning Administrator
City of Roseville
2660 Civic Center Drive
Roseville, Mn. 55113
Dear Sir:
We are applying for a special use permit to display seasonal
items in front of our store. Our building size is 8500 square
feet and we are requesting to be able to use up to 850 square
feet for outside display areas.
Items to be displayed would include lawnmowers, snowblowers,
wheelbarrows, top soil, firewood, peat moss, and fertilizer. The
lawn and garden products would be displayed on pallets from May
1st through August, but would be left out at night and covered
with plastic sheeting. The power equipment would be outside
during business hours only.
This outside display does not infringe on the parking, the access
to the main entrance, or the neighbors. We have been using this
plan for the past three years with good success.
Per ordinance No. 1063, this narrative addresses all areas of
Section 8.190 (3). I believe that we meet the criteria as
specified in your memorandum dated January 22, 1990. If you have
any questions, please call me.
S'ncerely,
James Schwalbach
North Heights Hardware, Inc.
2 611 Rice St.
Roseville, Min. 55113
Phone: (612) 484-4266
