PROPOSED T.G.I. FRIDAY'S RESTAURANT - ROSEVILLE, MINNESOTA
The following statement has been prepared to suppliment the application for
rezoning and issuance of a special use permit for T.G.I. FRIDAY'S proposed
restaurant in Roseville.
T.G.I. FRIDAY'S, a Dallas, Texas based company, developes and operates
restaurants nationwide. At present, there are over 80 restaurants located
throughout the country. The Roseville FRIDAY'S will be open for lunch and
dinner and will employ approximately 140 local personnel including Managers,
cooks,, waiters and waitresses.
The proposed location for the restaurant is the Northwest corner of County
Road "C" and Snelling Avenue Frontage Road, the former site of a drive-in
theater; thus, more than adequate street widths are available to carry any
additional traffic generated by FRIDAY'S RESTAURANT. Street patterns exist of
such nature as to guarantee that such traffic would not be channeled through
residential areas or on residential streets.
The site for the proposed use is adequate in size and shape to accomodate
FRIDAY'S including patio, enclosed service court for deliveries, landscaping
and all other features necessary to conform and be compatible with the land
and other uses in the neighborhood.
The granting of this rezoning and special use permit will not adversely affect
the General Plan of the City or any other adopted plan of the City or other
governmental agency.
