The County requested the City
review and comment on the request. (Attached is a copy of the County's
letter dated 1/6/84.) The City responded with information concerning
the City's past cooperation with the County in implementing its right-of-way
master plan, and with information concerning the location in question.
(Attached is a copy of the City's letter dated 1/9/84.)
As part of the County Attorney's review of the variance request, the
Attorney indicated that since the duplex had been located in the, County
right-of-way for many years, the continued use of the duplex was not
a factor in the decision regarding the variance to the right-of-way master plan.
The City was notified by a letter from the County dated 2/28/84 (attached)
that Mr. Robbins had withdrawn his application for variance. Since it
was then clear that Mr. Robbins was not going to follow through with
any process related to obtaining a building permit, the City notified
him that the illegally constructed garage foundation would have to be
removed. (Attached is a copy of the letter to Mr. Robbins dated
March 19, 1984.
