REVIEWED/RECOMMENDS: <br />�,, zoning ordinance by adding mail order sales as a special use <br />in -FhP R-1 7.nni na r1i ctri c•t _ <br />Y <br />The Planning Commission at its February 9th meeting unanimously recommended approval <br />of Deluxe Check Printers, Inc. request to amend the zoning ordinance by adding the <br />following as a special use in the B-1 zoning district. <br />Mail order sales and order processing offices, including and in conjunction <br />Vz <br />therewith, manufacture, assembly, storage, and shipment of consumer mail <br />order products, subject to limitations which may be imposed by the City <br />Council. <br />After, the . Planning Commission meeting, the City Planner, City -Attorney, and staff <br />�r ` <br />reveu�red further the amendment to the ordinance. The results of those discussions <br />are outlined in t-he attached memo from Howard Dahlgren, dated February 11, 1983. <br />In accordance with that memos if the Council decides to approve this request, the <br />following motion is suggested: <br />Motion adopting an ordinance amending Section 8.260 of: the City :ode by <br />adding -mail order sales and limited production as a special u^e in the <br />B-1 zoning district, and amending Chapter 5 of the Zoning Code by adding <br />the following definition: <br />Mail order sales and limited production, receiving of mail orders <br />''from consumers, processing of such orders, including therewith,, <br />;ahe man ufacture,`assembly, storage, and shipping of products to be <br />mailed from the site, direct to consumers only; such mailing not ,to <br />.exceed a total of one ton of product per 10,000 square feet ofground <br />u <br />floor. -area. <br />t' <br />t <br />f try, <br />Y. <br />7 { <br />
