Regular City Council Meeting Monday,January 29, 2024 Page 11 City Council is going to be talking about this Commission and other Commissions on the 12th of February when the Council will see a little more information. Mayor Roe explained from logistical point of view the City has a standard two times a year that appointments are made. Theoretically, if the Council does not make appointments to the HRIEC this round, unless something special is setup in the interim, it would be the September timeframe when the Council would have the opportunity to make appointments to this Commission. Etten moved, Groff seconded, to remove the post for advertising positions for the HRIEC and postpone interviewing for that Commission this February as the Council makes determinations on a clear purpose and direction the Council can revisit engaging the community members, including those who may have applied already in this round. Approve Minutes Comments and corrections to draft minutes had been submitted by the City Council prior to tonight's meeting and those revisions were incorporated into the draft presented in the Council packet. a. Approve January 8, 2024 City Council Meeting Minutes Groff moved, Etten seconded, approval of the January 8, 2024 City Council Meeting Minutes as presented. Roll Call Ayes: Etten, Groff, Strahan and Roe. Nays: None. 10. Approve Consent Agenda At the request of Mayor Roe, City Manager Trudgeon briefly reviewed those items being considered under the Consent Agenda; and as detailed in specific Requests for Council Action dated January 29, 2024 and related attachments. Etten moved, Groff seconded, approval of the Consent Agenda including claims and payments as presented and detailed. Roll Call Ayes: Etten, Groff, Strahan and Roe. Nays: None.
