This was not part of the planned budget, however it will be covered by Public Safety Aid <br />(a) <br />Dollars. <br />2024 annual contractual pavement painting. The operating budget for 2024 has $74,200 budgeted for contract <br />maintenance of which $15,200 was set for pavement markings. It is intended to come up with budget savings <br />(b) <br />elsewhere within contract maintenance budget line to offset the difference. <br />As part of the County Road B reconstruction project, West of Cleveland Ave., a few trees need to be removed. The <br />majority of the trees being removed are along the trail on the South side of the road adjacent to the Midland Hills <br />Country Club. Most of the trees being removed are due to the trail construction as well as storm sewer <br />(c) <br />improvements. Staff is doing the tree removal outside of the normal project due to the endangered long eared bat. <br />Per MNDOT guidance, trees should be removed before March 31 to prevent disrupting the beginning of their <br />nesting season. <br />Every year the City rehabilitates segments of bituminous trails and parking lots. $180,000 has been budgeted for <br />this contractual work in the 2024 CIP. This year we received quotes for the Roseville Skating Center North <br />(d) <br />Parking Lot, Howard Johnson Parking Lot, and Owasso Hills Pathway.
