<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 3/18/2024 <br />Item No.: 10.d. <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br /> <br /> <br />Item Description: Approve an Ordinance Amending Title 3, Chapter 314 of the City <br />Code to Amend Text in the 2024 Fee Schedule <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 The current Fee Schedule was adopted by the Roseville City Council on December 4, <br />4 2023. <br />5 <br />6 The City Council adopted Ordinance No. 1665 on February 26, 2024 that amended <br />7 Chapter 703.05 regarding bus benches in the right-of-way (now known as "Courtesy <br />8 Benches"). As part of the amendment, a two-year license was created. As a result of the <br />9 two-year license fee, the fee schedule needs to be changed to $100. <br />10 <br />11 For this reason, it is necessary to amend the text in the City's fee schedule as follows: <br />12 General Business License and Permit Fees: <br />13 Benches in right-of-way $50.00 Courtesy Bench License $100/bench (2 year license) <br />14 The City Council will be considering an Ordinance on March 18, 2024 changing the water <br />15 meter deposit to a fee. For this reason, it is necessary to amend the text in the City's fee <br />16 schedule as follows: <br />17 General Business License and Permit Fees: <br />18 Water meter deposit fee. <br />19 <br />20 Finally, the Electrical Inspector has asked to remove the fees listed for Traffic Signals and <br />21 Streetlights from the Residential Fees.
