EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />1 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />th <br />2 of Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 4 day of March, 2024, <br />3 at 6:00 p.m. <br />4 The following members were present: ; and the following were absent: . <br />5 Councilmemberintroduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />6 RESOLUTION No. <br />7 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE MASTER AGREEMENT FOR <br />8 MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL SYSTEMS WITH RAMSEY <br />9 COUNTY <br />10 WHEREAS, the County owns and operates traffic control signal systems within the City <br />11 “Signal Systems.” These Signal Systems may be located at intersections where all legs <br />12 are controlled by the County or at intersections in which one or more legs are controlled <br />13 by the City or another city; and <br />14 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the parties to identify herein the allocation of maintenance <br />15 and power provision responsibilities for the Signal Systems, in accordance with County <br />16 policies identified in Ramsey County Board Resolution 78-1394 (policy for lighting <br />17 Ramsey County roadways) and Ramsey County Board Resolution 81-1001 (policy for <br />18 allocation of costs for traffic control signal systems), and as agreed by the parties; and <br />19 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the parties to document and periodically update this <br />20 Master Agreement with a list of all known Signal Systems (those traffic control signal <br />21 systems located on a county road or highway within the City) and the allocation of <br />22 maintenance and power provision responsibilities; and <br />23 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the parties to further document and periodically update <br />24 this Master Agreement with a list of all known stand-alone pedestrian crossing signals <br />25 (those pedestrian crossings located on county roads and highways, but not on a Signal <br />26 System, within the City) (“Ped Signals”) and the allocation of maintenance and power <br />27 provision responsibilities; and <br />28 WHEREAS, it is the intent of the parties to further document and periodically update <br />29 this Master Agreement with a list of all known traffic control signal systems controlled <br />30 by Minnesota Department of Transportation (“MnDOT Signals”) within the City and the <br />31 allocation of maintenance and power provision responsibilities; and <br />Qbhf!311!pg!342 <br /> <br />
