Starting in late <br />2019, officers began using a special “5000 code” to mark overdose cases and the use of Narcan. These cases are entered <br />into a nationwide database called ODMAP available to law enforcement to help track overdoses across jurisdictions and <br />identify trends and spikes in incidents. <br /> <br />Since inception, Roseville Police Department has entered 144 incidents into the database. The heat map below shows <br />the locations of overdose incidents with the darker colors showing areas with multiple incidents. The three hottest spots <br />correspond to the three problem properties (Motel 6, Norwood Inn, and Key Inn).
