Roseville Parks & Recreation Commission
Agenda Item

DATE: May 7, 2024 ITEM: 4.a.

ITEM DESCRIPTION: Park Dedication Recommendation: 210 County Road B2

Background
The City has received preliminary documents for a proposed subdivision that is planned for 210 County
Road B2. The proposal is to divide one existing home lot into three lots (one existing, two new) for future
development. The project qualifies for Park Dedication. The cash amount for the two additional units would
be $8,500 ($4,250 per unit). The required land amount would be 10% of .99 acres or 0.099 acres.

The proposed development is located in Constellation F of the Parks and Recreation system. There are no
specific plans identified for parkland in this area. For reference and guidance, included in your packet is:

Park Dedication Ordinance
City Parks and Facilities map
Parcel site map
Preliminary plat map
Specific guidance from the Parks and Recreation System Master Plan, including the constellation
map and goals and policies related to Parks and Open Space acquisition.

The developer has stated a preference of cash-in-lieu of land for the development.

The role of the Parks and Recreation Commission is to review the proposed development in relation to the
parks and recreation system plans and goals; and to make a recommendation on whether the City should
accept land, cash, or a combination, to satisfy the Park Dedication requirement.

Recommendation
Due to the small size of the potential land dedication, and its location, staff recommend the acceptance of
cash to satisfy the park dedication requirement. Staff recommend a motion from the commission to confirm
their recommendation of cash, land, or a combination of both, based on the needs and goals of the parks
and recreation system.

Attachments
1. 210 Co Rd B Park Dedication Attachments

Qbhf!22!pg!47
