EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br /> OF THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br /> Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br /> Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 20th day of May, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. <br /> The following members were present: Etten, Schroeder, Groff, Strahan, and Mayor Roe; and the <br /> following were absent: None. <br /> Councilmember Schroeder introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION No. 12068 <br /> RESOLUTION VACATING A UTILITY EASEMENT THAT WAS RESERVED BY THE <br /> CITY IN A PREVIOUS VACATION OF A PORTION OF CARISLE AVENUE LYING <br /> NORTH OF THE PROPERTIES LOCATED AT 615, 577,AND 571 ROSELAWN <br /> AVENUE WEST AND A PORTION OF KENT STREET LYING EAST OF 571 <br /> ROSELAWN AVENUE WEST <br /> WHEREAS, on November 27, 2023, the City of Roseville vacated a portion of Carlisle Avenue <br /> that lied north of the properties located at 615, 577, and 571 Roselawn Avenue West and Kent <br /> Street that lies east of the property located at 571 Roselawn Avenue West by adopting Resolution <br /> No. 12034; and <br /> WHEREAS, said vacation reserved an easement for utility purposes within the vacated rights-of- <br /> way(the"Reserved Utility Easement"); and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 15, 2024, the City received a petition for vacation of the Reserved Utility <br /> Easement that was signed by a majority of the abutting property owners; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council pursuant to Minnesota Statutes § 412.851 desires to consider the <br /> vacation of the Reserved Utility Easement; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Reserved Utility Easement is legally described on the attached Exhibit A and as <br /> shown on the attached Exhibit B; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk published, posted, and mailed notice of a public hearing as required <br /> by law, and a public hearing was held on the proposed vacation on the 9th day of May, 2024; and <br /> WHEREAS, there are no utilities in the Reserved Utility Easement and no utilities are planned to <br /> be constructed by the City within the Reserved Utility Easement; and <br /> RS 160\1\951840.v1 <br />
