<br />Village of Roseville <br /> <br />Continued meeting of the Village Council Tuesday, September 25, 1956 <br /> <br />7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Village Council met on the above date as a continuation of its September 18, <br />meeting for the purpose of a budget hearing. The following members were present. <br />Salverda, Carlson, Kitts, Hammersten, and McGee. Attorney Robert Gearin, and <br />Engineers Ed Bather and Chas. Soutter were also present. <br /> <br />Prices for hauling sewage on a tenwor~ basis to benefit the State F~ Insurance <br />Company was discussed and it was decideä that the Engineer, Mayor, and CJe rk draw <br />up specifications for bids so that a sewage hauling firm can enter into a contract <br />with the Village. <br /> <br />Kitts Moved, Carlson Seconded that sewer bonds be redeemed in tge amount of <br />$20,000.00. Roll Call Ayes (5)-N~es (0). <br /> <br />The Attorney submitted the name of Roselawn Cemetery for payment of $8,500.00 <br />for an easement obtained for the sanitary sewer system through the cemetery. <br />Also, the attorney read certain conditions set forth by the Roselawn Cemetery <br />if the Village should acquire the easement. <br />Carlson Moved, Hammersten Seconded payment of $8,500.00 be authorized for the <br />purchase of the easement named and that the Clerk and Mayor be authorized to <br />execute the necessary papers. Roll Call Ayes (5)-N~es (0). <br /> <br />The attorney gave his opinion of a title to property in the name of Kenneth <br />Williams. The Village Council has previously autherized an earnest money <br />contract on the parcel involved for a sewer easement. <br />McGee Moved, Salverda Seconded that payment be authorized for the balance of <br />$295.00 to Kenneth Williams for a parcel of land purchased for a sewer easement. <br /> <br />Hammersten Moved, Kitts Seconded a license be issued to Harold Caruth for cess- <br />pool and septic tank installations in the Village of Roseville. <br />Roll C~l Ayes (5)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />McGee Moved, Carlson Seconded the Engineer be instructed tocl1raw up specifications <br />for contracting for hauling sewage prior to the date of physical connection to <br />the sewer system and upon approval of the specifications as to form by the Mayor <br />and Clerk, and that the Village advertise for bids to he accepted October 9, 1956 <br />at 8 o'clock p.m. Roll Call Ayes (5)- N~es (0). <br /> <br />The Cle rk read a letter from the La Rose Corporation requesting an increase in <br />rent on the property which the Village is now leasing for Li~or Store #2. <br />Ki tts Hoved, Hammersten Seconded the matter be tabled until the October 2nd <br />council meeting.
