' <br /> <br />Attorney, Vincent Courtney, was present in behalf of fir. Moffett to inform the <br />Council that hi is willing to sell the Village fifteen feet of his,:roperty <br />ìrlhich fronts on Lexington for an easement. It appeared that Hr. JiIoffétt vlOuld <br />rather not sell as much as 20 feet., but vrould do so if 5, t is necessary. <br />,hr. Boffett is asking $100.00 per foot, ,rhich is the price he paid for the <br />property. Hr. Courtney also sté'ted that his client has no objection to the <br />vacating of Dunlap. <br />Kitts Moved, Carlson Seconded the attorney proceed to draw the necessary papers <br />to obtain 8. 20 foot easement for the extension of Dionne. <br />Roll Call Ayes (J)-N,<1yes (2)-Salverda and NcGee opposed. <br />~-Jilliam Reiling stated that the other people in the area provided a 66 foot road <br />by each side donating 33 feet, and thought it peculiar that one man can nm,r come <br />along and ask a price for an easement. <br />John Daubney suggested that Hr. Krannak be advised of wh.B.t the Council's definition <br />is of "reasonabJe lenc;th of time", me:!tioned in a resolution adopted by the Council <br />of 1955. <br />11rs. Kuivinen asked teat Dionne Street be completed before closing Dunlap. <br />The Village Attorney '~rill'nake an attempt to have Hr. Krannak grade and surface <br />Dionne before Dunlap Street is closed. <br />John DBubney asked to benotified one week prior to the matter coming before tl'B <br />council again. <br /> <br />Vincent Courtney appeared in behalf of O.J. Husby & Sons regarding the petition <br />for the opening and improving of County R_ad B-2 from N. Pascal to N. Hamline. <br />:HcGee Hoved, Carlson Seconded that Husby and Sons be allowed to oDen, grade, <br />and surface County Road B-2 from H;:;..mline Avenue to Pascal on a 33" foot basis <br />for a road vridth minimum of 24 feet, at the discretion of the Villa~e Engineer. <br />Roll Call Ayes (S)-Nayes (0). <br /> <br />The Planning Co~~ission reported that at this point in their pl&nning prográffi <br />it acpears that the proDerty o!¡med by JoseDh I-Iuber located at Dde and County <br />Road B will proþably be· recomrûended for clãssification as a B-3 Service District, <br />vrhich is recomiended to include about ß6 different types of bClsiness acthrities. <br /> <br />.A letter was read from an attorney for Sub'Jrban Properties, offering a parcel <br />f'lescribed as Lot 5, Block 9, Jænes Third Addition, to the ViE2.e;e. <br />Hammersten Hoved, Carlson Seconded the matter be referred to the Engineer for a <br />report at the next regular meeting.
