Attachment 1 <br />lei <br />Public Works Department <br />Memo <br />To: Public Works Environmental and Transportation Commission Members <br />From: Jennifer Lowry, City Engineer <br />Date: June 20, 2024 <br />Re: Communications Items <br />The following are updates to projects and other activities happening in Roseville since the last <br />commission meeting: <br />Roseville Public Works project updates: <br />o Bike Plan <br />• The online survey and map to compile comments are live until June 30, 2024. Please <br />share the link below with your networks and encourage others to participate and <br />subscribe. <br />• Two bike audits and one walk audit took place on June 10, covering the Rosedale area <br />and both southeast and northeast Roseville to identify specific areas and opportunities <br />for improvement and route creation. Each audit had approximately 10-15 participants. <br />• Staff and consultants met with Ramsey County and MnDOT staff on June 11 to begin <br />planning for a demonstration project on Hamline Avenue between County Road B and <br />County Road B2. <br />• A network workshop took place on June 11, with around 25 community members <br />taking part to identify locations and routes across Roseville in need of safe cycling <br />infrastructure. <br />• Bike Plan efforts were featured in a Star Tribune article on May 12 and a KSTP story <br />on May 14. <br />• Listening sessions with key groups are being scheduled. <br />• httys://talkdot.state.mn.us/roseville-bike-plan <br />McCarron Retaining Wall Replacement <br />• Construction is anticipated to begin the week of July 8 and complete by Labor Day. <br />County Road B Reconstruction, west of Cleveland Avenue <br />• Construction continues to be delayed due to rain. Currently, storm sewer is anticipated <br />to begin July 1. Residents are encouraged to subscribe to the website for ongoing <br />updates. <br />2024 PMP <br />• Portions of the PMP in the Midland Hills neighborhood adjacent to the reconstruction <br />project will be done in coordination with the reconstruction. Other streets that are a <br />part of the PMP are complete. <br />Page 8 of 46 <br />
