From:William Peisert
To:*RVCouncil
Cc:Pat Trudgeon
Subject:Input for 6/17/24 city council meeting: fence at 257 McCarrons Blvd S
Date:Thursday, June 13, 2024 4:44:37 PM
Some people who received this message don't often get email from myvibe255@msn.com. Learn why this is
important
Caution: This email originated outside our organization; please use caution.
My husband and I have lived at 465 Woodruff for 14 years. We are requesting the removal of
the fence recently installed at 257 S McCarrons Blvd.
The fence erected at 257 obstructs the view of the lake as you enter from Rice St. Instead of
seeing a beautiful vista you are immediately struck by a cold hard wall. I can only imagine
how property owners at that end of the lake feel about their view being taken from them
without any input. As originally constructed it also causes a safety hazard by obstructing
views of the pedestrian walkway as cars leave the property.
We are concerned that if the fence is allowed to remain that it may be a catalyst for other
property owners to do as they will with easements that belong to the city, or by extension,
taxpayers. At the very least the owners should have requested a variance from the city before
proceeding instead of just hoping there would be no fallout.
Sincerely,
Bill Peisert
Wes McClain
465 Woodruff Ave
Get Outlook for Android
Qbhf!72!pg!331
