For example, on-board cameras may be used to record an image or video of the contents of the cart as it is tipped into the truck hopper. The Contractor shall submit a proposed alternative means of contaminant and participation measurement for approval by the City. 2.5.2 Multi-Dwelling Units Collection Contractor shall empty all acceptable materials from inside the containers and a reasonable amount of acceptable, overflow recyclable materials that may be set adjacent to the containers. The Contractor shall contact the MDU owner that continued overflow recyclables will necessitate increased service levels (e.g., more containers, more frequent collections, and/or larger containers). After emptying the containers, the Contractor shall return the containers to their appropriate locations. MDUs shall receive service once a week, unless a two times per week frequency is agreed to by the City, the property owner, and the Contractor. The City does not regulate the day of the week MDUs shall receive service. The Contractor shall comply with the Roseville Parks Safety Plan (http://www.cityofroseville.com/436/Recycling). Contractor shall submit its operating plan, including vehicles, for City review and approval. The Contractor should also provide a recommended schedule for servicing the parks and include a removal and placement plan of carts in the spring and fall. Actual schedules will vary depending on weather. The Recycling Coordinator will inform the Contractor on scheduling the servicing, dates for removal, and placement of the carts. Exhibit D, City Buildings and Parks Recycling, contains the maps and list of parks and number of carts that will need servicing either weekly or every other week.
