<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 11/25/2024 <br />Item No.: 7.e. <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br /> <br />Item Description: Consider a request to perform an abatement for unresolved violations of City <br />Code at 1775 Maple Lane <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 The subject property is an occupied, single family home. Current violations related to the abatement <br />4 request include: <br />5 Outside storage of miscellaneous items (407.03.I) <br />6 <br />7 Staff performed an inspection and confirmed a violation at this property on October 18, 2024. Staff sent <br />8 invoices for an Administrative Citation and Repeat Nuisance fees on October 24, 2024 given previous <br />9 violations had been observed at this property. A follow-up inspection on October 28, 2024 revealed no <br />10 progress toward compliance related to the outside storage of materials. A letter was mailed to the <br />11 property detailing the violations and a timeframe for correction. Then, on November 15, 2024, staff <br />12 performed another inspection, which revealed no progress towards compliance. Staff posted a notice of <br />13 a City Council meeting to abate the violations on the front door of the residence. City correspondence <br />14 related to these actions is provided in Attachment 4. <br />15 <br />16 As of the writing of this Request for Council Action, no progress towards code compliance has been <br />17 observed on the property.
