2025 Capital Improvement Plan
Project/Initiative Summary

Department/Division: Parks and Recreation/Skating Center
Project/Initiative Title: Commons: Fire Alarm System
Total Estimated Cost: $ 20,000
Funding Source: CIP
Annual Operating Budget Impact: \[NA\]

Project/Initiative Description:
The current system is original to the addition to the facility in 1999. As it stands the system is
outdated and obsolete, make it difficult to maintain. The current system is also not tied to the fire
department nor the police department. When there is trouble codes, it simply warns people in the
building of a problem and to evacuate. If there is a problem when there is nobody in the building,
the alarm will go off and nobody will be called for an emergency. This leaves the facility at risk
of major damage due to slow to no response time of authorities.
Location:
Roseville Skating Center Commons: Fire Alarm System
45
Qbhf!216!pg!527
