1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />2 OF THE <br />3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />4 <br />5* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />6 <br />7 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />nd <br />8 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 2 day of December, 2024, at <br />9 6:00 p.m. <br />10 <br />11 The following members were present: Strahan, Etten, Groff, Schroeder and Mayor Roe <br />12 and the following were absent: None. <br />13 <br />14 Member ________ introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 RESOLUTION No. ________ <br />18 <br />19 RESOLUTION #/--%.$).' *5,)% 7%!2.Ǿ 6)3)4 2/3%6),,% #%/Ǿ &/2 (%2 <br />20 $%$)#!4%$ 3%26)#% 4/ 4(% 2/3%6),,% #/--5.)49 <br />21 <br />22 WHEREAS, Ms. Wearn has been in involved in Minnesota’s hospitality and tourism industry for <br />23 over 30 years, including 18 years as Chief Executive Officer of Roseville Visitors <br />24 Association/Visit Roseville; and <br />25 <br />26 WHEREAS, Ms. Wearn will be concluding her illustrious career in the tourism and hospitality <br />27 industry when she retires at the end of the 2024; and <br />28 <br />29 WHEREAS, Ms. Wearn has tirelessly promoted and advocated for Roseville during her 18-year <br />30 tenure and has served the community with enthusiasm, professionalism, and dedication <br />31 throughout her service with Visit Roseville; and <br />32 <br />33 WHEREAS, under Ms. Wearn’s leadership, Visit Roseville became a leading destination <br />34 marketing organization in the State of Minnesota and the Midwest, and <br />35 <br />36 WHEREAS, in 2022, Ms. Wearn was recognized by Explore Minnesota as the state’s Tourism <br />37 Professional of the Year, and in October 2024, the Minnesota Association of Convention and <br />38 Visitors Bureau recognized Ms. Wearn with the Roger Toussaint Award, which is the <br />39 organizations most prestigious award, to recognize her profound impact to the tourism industry.; <br />40 and <br />41 <br />42 WHEREAS, Ms. Wearn led key initiatives that promoted the Roseville community including <br />43 OVALumination that placed holiday lights around the perimeter of the Roseville OVAL, and the <br />Qbhf!5!pg!527 <br /> <br />
