2025Capital Improvement Plan <br /> Project/Initiative Summary <br />Department/Division: Police <br />Project/Initiative Title: Vehicle Equipment <br />Total Estimated Cost: $252,200 <br />Funding Source: Police Vehicle & Equipment Fund (property tax) <br />Annual Operating Budget Impact: No additional impact on budget <br /> <br />Project/Initiative Description: <br />Police vehicles are equipped with a variety of technology, tools and other items to perform <br />their assigned duties including: <br />1) Radar equipment$7,000 <br />2) Stop sticks$2,200 <br />3) Squad conversion & computers $139,000 <br />8) Defibrillators $2,000 <br />9) Police radios and equipment $102,000 <br /> <br />Equipment and installation costs to outfit police vehicles have increased significantly over recent <br />years due to technological advances and more recently, inflation and supply and demand <br />challenges. Replacements of Stop Sticks tire deflation devices, increased from two to four. <br />To meet new FBI encryption of criminal justice information requirements, Roseville continues to <br />replace police radios with advanced encryption technology.Increases in 2025 costs aredue to <br />inflation and the need to replace additional radios to convert to newer technology at a quicker <br />pace. <br />Beginning in 2024, squad camera costs weremoved to the operating budget as Roseville’s current <br />vendor implemented an annual subscription program to include equipment replacements and <br />upgrades. <br /> <br />Location: <br />Not applicable. <br />11 <br />Qbhf!82!pg!527 <br /> <br />
