This ito replace the current 2017 Dodge Durango that will be auctioned/sold to help cover the cost of the vehicle. The current vehicle is due for replacement based on its age and condition (mileage and repairs out of warranty) and potential re-sale value. Jaws of life rescue/extraction equipment is a vital toolset used by firefighters to rescue individuals trapped in vehicles or other confined spaces.Firefighting nozzles and hoses are essential tools for delivering water to extinguish fires. These items require replacing on a pre-planned cycle to be compliant with regulations.A firefighting SCBA Compressor/Fill Station is a crucial piece of equipment used to refill Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) cylinders with clean, breathable air. This station compresses ambient air to a high pressure and filters it to remove contaminants, ensuring the safety of firefighters in hazardous environments. By efficiently refilling SCBA cylinders, these stations help maintain a constant supply of breathing air, allowing firefighters to perform their duties without interruption.The fire department replaces vehicles on a rotating basis based on each individual vehicles need. The Command Response Vehicle will be utilized by Fire Department Command Staff to respond to emergency incidents 24 hours a day 365 days per year to provide adequate incident command and support, additionally this specific vehicle has been selected as it will also be utilized to provide transportation for K9 Ashes.To prepare for the arrival of the Fire Departments new EV Fire Engine electrical infrastructure updates are needed within the fire station. The work will be done by local Roseville electrical contractor Muska Electric. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of our surplus Fire Engine, which occurred in 2024 and were deposited into the Fire Department Vehicle & Equipment CIP, will be utilized to cover the cost.
