<br />Optimist Day <br />February 6, 2025 <br />Whereas: The Roseville Optimist Club was chartered in January 2017 and has an eight-year <br />track record; and <br />Whereas: The Roseville Optimist Club’s Mission is to bring out the best in our Youth, <br />Community, and Ourselves by providing hope and positive vision; and <br />Whereas: The Roseville Optimist Club has grown to be a highly successful community <br />organization numbering over 130 members and provides a number of programs and projects to <br />fulfill its mission; and <br />Whereas: The Roseville Optimist Club has initiated two important long-term programs: The <br />Character Education and Development Initiative and The Civic Education and Engagement <br />Program; and <br />Whereas: The Roseville Optimist Club’s Vision is to continue to grow in size, service, and <br />stature; and <br />Whereas: The first Thursday of February is recognized and celebrated as Optimist Day in the <br />Optimist International Organization of over 2000 Optimist local clubs; <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Roseville City Council recognizes February <br />6, 2025 as Optimist Day in the City of Roseville <br />In Witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Seal of the City of Roseville <br />be affixed this 27th day of January, 2025. <br />Mayor Daniel J.
