<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 2/24/2025 <br />Item No.: 7.b. <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br /> <br /> <br />Item Description: Consider a request to perform an abatement for unresolved violations of City <br />Code at 2165 Victoria Street N <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 <br />4 The subject property is an unoccupied, single family home. Current violations related to the abatement <br />5 request include: <br />6 Multiple inoperable vehicles (407.02.G, 407.04.D) <br />7 Vehicles without current registration (407.02.G, 407.04.D) <br />8 This property has been the subject of City Council authorized abatements on June 5, 2023 and <br />9 November 25, 2024. Most recently, the property representative was able to bring the property into <br />10 compliance prior to staff conducting an abatement resulting from the Council authorization in November <br />11 2024. On June 16, 2023, staff conducted the abatement of inoperable and unlicensed vehicles. On <br />12 February 4, 2025, staff confirmed numerous violations were again present at this property. A follow-up <br />13 inspection on February 14, 2025, showed no progress toward compliance related to the unlicensed and <br />14 inoperable vehicles. A letter was mailed to the property detailing the violations and notification of the <br />15 Council hearing date of February 24, 2025 (Attachment 4). Staff sent invoices for Administrative <br />16 Citations and Repeat Nuisance fees on February 18, 2025 (Attachment 4). <br />17 <br />18 As of the writing of this RCA, no progress related to any noted violation or code compliance has been <br />19 observed on this property.
