1 EXTRACT OF MINUTES OF MEETING <br />2 OF THE <br />3 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ROSEVILLE <br />4 <br />5* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * <br />6 <br />7 Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />th <br />8 Roseville, County of Ramsey, Minnesota was duly held on the 17 day of March 2025, at 6:00 <br />9 p.m. <br />10 <br />11 The following members were present: , , , , and Mayor , and the <br />12 following were absent: . <br />13 <br />14 Member introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 RESOLUTION No. <br />18 <br />19 Resolution Accepting Donations <br />20 <br />21 WHEREAS, the City of Roseville is generally authorized to accept donations of real and <br />22 personal property for the benefit of its residents pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section <br />23 465.03 and is specifically authorized to accept gifts for the benefit of its public <br />24 recreational services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 471.17;; and <br />25 <br />26 WHE REAS, the Friends of the OVAL Foundation has offered to donate funds in the <br />27 amount of $40,000 ($25,000 directly to the City, which will be used to pay the scoreboard <br />28 vendor, and $15,000 in-kind as payment directly to vendors for technical equipment needed to <br />29 operate the scoreboard) to enable the City to purchase a larger, higher-quality scoreboard for the <br />30 John Rose MN OVAL; and <br />31 <br />32 WHEREAS, the above-referenced donation has no further conditions on their <br />33 acceptance; and <br />34 <br />35 WHEREAS, the donation is contributed to the City for the benefit of its residents and <br />36 public recreational services; and <br />37 <br />38 WHEREAS, the Roseville City Council finds that it is appropriate to accept the donations <br />39 offered <br />40 <br />41 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; that the Roseville City Council, on behalf of the <br />42 City of Roseville, Minnesota, hereby accepts the gift of the donations described herein. <br />43 <br />Qbhf!6!pg!596 <br /> <br />
