<br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />Date: 4/7/2025 <br />Item No.: 10.f. <br />Department Approval City Manager Approval <br /> <br /> <br />Item Description: Adopt Resolution Prohibiting Parking on Fairview Avenue from <br />County Road C to Twin Lakes Parkway <br />1 <br />2 Background <br />3 City of Roseville staff would like to clarify parking restrictions on Fairview Avenue between <br />4 County Road C and Twin Lakes Parkway / Terrace Drive. When Twin Lakes Parkway was <br />5 connected to Fairview in 2016, a signal was added to that intersection and the road <br />6 segment was restriped from a four-lane to a three-lane roadway (two-way with a center turn <br />7 lane). The restriping created striped shoulders that were not originally intended for parking, <br />8 but were not adequately signed to prohibit parking to be able to enforce parking violations. <br />9 The proposal is to install no parking signs as needed along Fairview Avenue, between <br />10 County Road C and Twin Lakes Parkway. Since this is on a county road, Ramsey County <br />11 requires a resolution from the City to establish the no parking zone. If passed, Ramsey <br />12 County would install the signs in the area shown on the map in Attachment 2. <br />13 <br />14 Policy Objectives <br />15 It is City policy to keep City-owned infrastructure in good operating condition and to keep <br />16 systems operating in a safe condition. <br />17 <br />18 Equity Impact Summary <br />19 There should be no equity impacts associated with this no parking resolution. <br />20 <br />21 Budget Implications <br />22 There are no costs to the City.
